We are excited to announce that funding and approval have been obtained, and the improvement works to the woodland are planned to start in the week of Sep 12th.
Initial work will include creating a new path through the area of sweet chestnut and felling ash trees along the main path.
For safety, it will be necessary to temporarily restrict public access during the tree felling and path construction. This will periodically affect the entrances off Henry Shute Road and Henry Corbett Road, and the main path between the two.
We expect that this
first phase of felling will take up to 8 weeks. If a longer access restriction is
required, a detour route will be established.
Further works to improve the paths will follow in late 2022, early 2023 and are likely to take approximately 4 weeks to complete.
